The reason I've recovered better than many people is nutrition.
"I've had 19 surgeries, many of them orthopedic. I've had breast cancer in the past four months, and I have a long-term chronic disease that destroys my lungs, and maybe in spite of the challenges I've had the reason I've recovered better than many people is nutrition."
By living the life I want, I'm happy.
"So if I'm eating foods that are anti-inflammatory, like the Nutrient product, then I don't need to take pain killers or anti-inflammatory drugs. I would rather address health through nutrition as my first line of defense. By doing so, I'm able to live the life I want and by living the life I want, I'm happy."
It's all good.
"Everything in life is a choice. Everyday what you put in your body, what you do with your body. For me it's energy. I can judge by energy how I'm going about my day, how I'm going about my sport, how I feel.
I feel well, it's all good."
Giving up has never been an option.
"You feel full enough so that you're not your body's not looking for something different, it feels more complete. I am a little bit different in my attitude and my survivorship. Giving up has never been an option because when I was so young, giving up meant giving up decades of living, and my mother used to say if you rest you'll rust, and so I just I don't rest, I just keep going."
